[Ground-station] Ground-Station Digest, Vol 20, Issue 10

Hi Michelle,

Concerning the orbit, I uploaded a document to the Slack showing that the
Busek does not have sufficient thrust to meet GTO to GEO in a realistic
time frame (39 years). Going from LEO to GEO would be even worse
increasing the required delta V by a factor of 2.4 - so 93 years to
circularise the orbit. I have attached the calculations to this email.

I would think a trade study of available thrusters is a good place to
start. The pace of propulsion development in the last few years has been
intense and there are now thrusters on the market that achieve reasonable
timeframes to circulise (less than a month).

Cheers,
Thomas
