Update on the Dumbbell HF antenna design - I have figured out how to
convert the microstrip model made with MATLAB antenna builder to a wire
antenna with the wireStack function. I will upload the script to the
repository very soon. Please add
https://github.com/OpenResearchInstitute/dumbbell to your watch list if you
want to see what we do here.

I did get a couple bites from the last post to the list about this project,
and some feedback and comments..Thank you!

This is a compact HF antenna design that dates back to at least the 1950s.
The MATLAB model and results in the repository is for 40m band.

The next model will be for 160m, to clearly show the value of this
particular design, using inductive loading to dramatically reduce the
physical size of the antenna with reasonable compromises on performance.
The goal here is to get a solid design out there in the world for HF that
lets people put up good antennas in constrained spaces. And, to teach folks
about radiation resistance and why inductive loading works.

Interested in this? Want to build prototypes for DEFCON? Present this work
in a talk? We are here to support you, so please get in touch.
