Mathworks is the company behind MATLAB and Simulink. They are the ones that
write the toolboxes that we have through our Startup License.
Find free and paid classes at https://matlabacademy.mathworks.com/
What I've taken:
Simulink Onramp
https://matlabacademy.mathworks.com/details/simulink-onramp/simulink
Wireless Communications Onramp
https://matlabacademy.mathworks.com/details/wireless-communications-onramp/wireless
Stateflow Onramp
https://matlabacademy.mathworks.com/details/stateflow-onramp/stateflow
MATLAB Fundamentals
https://matlabacademy.mathworks.com/details/matlab-fundamentals/mlbe
Signal Processing with MATLAB
https://matlabacademy.mathworks.com/details/signal-processing-with-matlab/mlsg
What I am taking next:
Simulink Fundamentals

These are all free. I recommend them.
What we have from our Startup License:
A custom class, on site or virtual or hybrid, that we construct and help
execute.
We have outlines for the following paid classes. These assume you're up to
speed with the basics. You can get there with the free classes, linked
above.
Generating HDL Code with Simulink. (slhl.pdf)
DSP for FPGA (sldf.pdf)
Programming Xilinx zynq SoC (slzq.pdf)
Zynq for SDR (slzr.pdf)
We need to go through the course outlines to construct a class that will
supercharge ORI volunteers. All of the outlines are in the #fpga channel on
our Slack, for discussion and planning. I'm including them here too, for
this list to weigh and consider and give an opinion about.
What we’re after is a class that combines elements of these courses and
gets through the material as quickly as possible, so that we can get people
educated, use the tools that we have access to, and get experience with
industry standard stuff so we can better inform any open source tools teams
that wants to successfully compete.
This last point is important. We can't support or use open source tools
that don't provide what the best in class options do. You can't find out
what proprietary tools do without using them.
I am determined to give us that opportunity and use it to advance the
entire field forward. The projects supported by these tools are all open
source work in complex digital communications. All of that work is open
source.
We have several options for in-person classrooms in San Diego, USA, and I'm
working on it. I want this to be accessible online as well, and I believe
that Mathworks will help here.
If you want to get training on how to turn MATLAB code into digital
communications FPGA reality, then we are going to make this happen and you
are included.
How can you help? Tell me what aspects of the attached course outlines are
what you think are the highest priority for this training.
Thank you!
