Last week was quite busy with preparations on all levels for our upcoming
technical demonstration at Ham Expo. If you're not on our Slack account, or
haven't checked it out in a while, then do so. You'll be pleasantly
surprised with all the work.

The question for today is as follows:

Japan AMSAT (JAMSAT), who are full of really nice people, have an
invitation for all to attend their Symposium. It’s right after Ham Expo.
The invite is attached.

If you want to attend with me, my daughter Geneva, and a few others from
ORI, then please write in to the email address on the PDF to reserve your
spot. It’s a great event!

One of the highlights is the dinner, which will unfortunately be on zoom
instead of on your plate. If you are not Japanese, then it’s quite the
adventure through an amazing 20 course meal. I look forward to attending
this year, and I look forward to returning to Japan for JAMSAT Symposium
when that is possible.

Until we can resume in-person gatherings like this, please consider coming
to their event to learn more about satellites from JAMSAT, University
Projects, and their collaboration with others. It is fair to say that they
are much more friendly to open source than AMSAT-NA. They understand the
value of open source work and they appreciate our efforts.

We have presented our work in the past at their Symposium, and we will
submit a paper for consideration to their next newsletter.

We were scheduled to be at their booth with our projects at Tokyo Ham Fair,
which unfortunately has been postponed again. While the future will
definitely be brighter, participation in virtual events, like JAMSAT
Symposium, are accessible, friendly, and inexpensive.

Questions and comments are welcome and encouraged.
