[Ribbit-Developers] Idea for a shortcut: integration APRS and direwolf?

When I was browsing the direwolf source code this evening, I was wondering:
what if we would integrate the ribbit modem as another module for APRS
transmissions? We could then use the APRS-Message forward and the proven
ad-hoc network concepts for digipeating?
