<p>I started designing schematics and PCBs under DOS when programs became available around 1983. Always doing the custom symbols and footprints took many times longer than the actual schematic or board design.</p> 

<p>I only mentioned one of a large number of bugs in Eagle that are quite irritating so I will look at KiCAD this week.</p>
