<p>The European Commission's <a href="https://opensource.org/sites/all/modules/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=2069&qid=262859" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Open Source Observatory</a> (OSOR) [1] is hosting an interactive webinar on '<a href="https://opensource.org/sites/all/modules/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=2070&qid=262859" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Guidelines for Sustainable Open Source Software (OSS) Communities in the Public Sector</a>’ [2], on 4 June 2020 between 10:00 – 12:30 CET.</p>
<p>The objectives of the webinar are two-fold. Firstly, to present OSOR's most recent work related to their <a href="https://opensource.org/sites/all/modules/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=2071&qid=262859" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Sustainability Guidelines</a> [3]. Secondly, to work together with open source projects and communities working in Europe to discuss what lies at the heart of sustainability of public sector open source software communities and brainstorm how the Guidelines could be further improved.</p>
<p>You will also have the opportunity to hear the experiences of working with and within public sector OSS communities from two projects. <a href="https://opensource.org/sites/all/modules/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=2072&qid=262859" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Fritjof Knier</a> [4] will share the story of the <a href="https://opensource.org/sites/all/modules/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=2073&qid=262859" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Integreat platform</a> [5] in Germany and <a href="https://opensource.org/sites/all/modules/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=2074&qid=262859" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Nephtis Brandsma</a> [6] will present the participatory digital democracy project through <a href="https://opensource.org/sites/all/modules/civicrm/extern/url.php?u=2075&qid=262859" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">CONSUL</a> [7] (an OSI member association) in Groningen, the Netherlands.<br>
