Here's some details about the theme and opportunities at QSO Today Ham Expo
in March 2023.

A license like the US technician license, which gives full access to the
microwave amateur radio service bands, is all one needs to fully
participate in everything ORI does, so I'd like to give us a chance of
showing that the "entry level" license puts a new licensee at the forefront
of experimentation.

>From the point of view of digital modes and innovative designs, there is
very little to be gained with the current incentive licensing scheme in the
United States. New hams in the US have full access to all sorts of amazing
and delightful things!

Can *you* present on this topic?

Can you speak about non-US "beginner" licenses and their value to
experimentation?

Are you new and want to share your perspective?

Raise your hand and the leadership team will help you with a recorded video
presentation for Ham Expo.

Please forward to anyone you think might be interested.

Dear Michelle,

The next QSO Today Virtual Ham Expo will open on March 24th, 2023, at 6:00
PM PDT, through the weekend for 48 hours.

The theme is: “New license - Now What”.

The message that we want to convey for the next Expo is that any of the
presentations regarding technology, rigs, operating modes, building
projects, can be enjoyed by technician class licensees with a new ham radio
license. Our goal is to demonstrate through a wide variety of
presentations around this theme, and sponsors who have solutions, that
amateur radio is not only alive and well, but the greatest hobby on Earth.

New presentations are already being submitted. Click here to see the list.

Based on our last Expo survey, we are doing the following things to increase
attendance and lower the demographic age to target 30 to 50 year olds.

   -

Give a theme to the event: “New License - Now What?”
   -

Partner with 3 large YouTube channels with almost 300,000 total
subscribers. They will provide weekly opportunities, until our March
opening, to promote the event and create discussions around our theme.
They have been given generous financial incentives to promote the Expo.
   -

Use new vFairs platform features, including “matchmaking” to attract
hams that want to get started and need personal attention.

Our reputation, after 5 Expos, is the quality of our ham radio
presentations. We encourage all of our sponsors and exhibitors to also
make presentations in our auditorium, with live Q&A afterwards that speak
to our event theme. Higher sponsorship levels increase the number of
presentation opportunities.

Sponsor presentations can be more than infomercials - speaking directly to
our target demographic with specific answers to their problems and to make
opportunities for new, returning, old-times in need of a fresh idea.
Differentiate your products through presentations that demonstrate how
their use enhances hobby and getting on the air.

We will again be on the vFairs platform because it has demonstrated to be
the best for running multiple tracks of presentations with live Q&A to
thousands of simultaneous users.

In addition vFairs now provides:

   1.

Notifications to exhibitors when attendees “enter” their booth. These
attendees can be engaged instantly by video and text chat.
   2.

Integrated networking round-tables in the vFairs lounge area
   3.

Matchmaking system between mentors and attendees in need of help
   4.

Integrated virtual spaces similar to Kumospace for sponsor and exhibitor
   casual meetings
   5.

Gamifications - that could include multiple choice answers to questions
that we ask. Prize winners would have the most amount of right answers.
   6.

vFairs now has a mobile app for our Expo

vFairs has a demo video of net features here: https://www.vfairs.com/

We hope that you will join us for our March 2023 QSO Today Virtual Ham Expo

<https://www.qsotodayhamexpo.com/uploads/2/4/5/0/24502639/qso_today_virtual_ham_expo_price_list.pdf>
.

We will offer a 20% discount on all sponsorships over $1000.00 until

See you at the Expo.
