Good news from our friends at OreSat! If you don't follow the project, now
is a great time to start.

I would like to share the exciting news that the Portland State Aerospace
Society's CubeSat group OreSat successfully launched our first satellite
OreSat0 into a sun synchronous low earth orbit Tuesday morning. We launched
on an Astra-1 rocket from Kodiak AK, at 0922 PDT aboard their LV0009
flight. OreSat0 was deployed over the Pacific at roughly 0930 PDT, and once
given the state vector from our mission integrator Spaceflight Inc, we were
able to devise a preliminary Keplerian Element set and distribute it to the
SatNOGS amateur satellite community within 30 minutes after being deployed.
Even before its first orbit completed an amateur station picked up our
beacon roughly an hour after deployment, and soon later we were able to
completely confirm successful beacon data 2.5 hours after deployment. We
now have a "near" official ID to designate our mission at Space-Track.org,
as we think we are NORAD ID 52010 in the cluster of objects deployed by
that flight.

OBJECT C
1 52010U 22026C 22076.84416407 -.00000067 00000+0 00000+0 0 9993
2 52010 97.4924 77.9698 0025163 242.2660 117.6031 15.13554208 33

This is exciting news for us, particularly because the satellite health
seems to be good and is sending beacons. You can visit the real time
dashboard showing our beacon data at OreSat Dashboard

Also, please visit our website https://oresat.org for more information
about our project.

Kind regards, and 73,
Glenn, KJ7SU
