[Ground-station] Lightwave/TeraHertz communications

Lightwave and TeraHertz came up in discussion today.

I know we have a few people that have made contacts, antennas, and articles
on this subject.

What's the current thinking for amateur use?

There are some "less expensive" components out there - according to IEEE
Spectrum. They may have a different definition of inexpensive than we do,
but prices have come down quite a bit.

Thoughts? Use cases?
